Avondale Red Trail Guided Hikes
Join us for structured walks along Avondale Forest Park's
accessible red trail. Our guides know every turn of the route
and understand what makes hiking enjoyable at your pace. We
cover forest history, local wildlife, and navigation basics as
we go — no lectures, just conversation along the way.
- Walks typically 2-3 hours with built-in rest stops
- Small groups (maximum 8 people) for personal attention
- Seasonal variations and weather-aware planning
Wicklow Outdoor Walking Skills
Small-group workshops designed for adults who want to build
confidence and technique before heading out. We focus on
practical skills: choosing proper footwear, reading terrain,
pacing yourself, and knowing what to bring. You'll leave with a
clear sense of what your body needs to enjoy longer walks.
- Workshops run for 4 weeks, one session per week
- Mix of classroom and outdoor practice
- Personalized feedback on your walking style and fitness
One-to-One Hiking Consultations
Not sure where to start or coming back after time away? We offer
individual sessions where we talk through your goals, assess
what you're comfortable with, and create a personalized plan.
This might include trail recommendations, fitness prep, or
addressing specific concerns.
- 90-minute sessions tailored to your needs
- Written trail recommendations and preparation guidance
- Follow-up check-ins to keep you on track
